Looking at the information from the reading, Confucianism and Daoism seen to have some of the same out looks on how life should go. They are both are philosophies. Daoism has an understanding about compassion, humility with a relationship and reverence for the spirits. Confucianism has a core belief that anyone can improve as we get older and that people are not perfect. Confucianism also has the belief of ethic way of life. And yes it does seem like a big book of fortune cookie guidelines.

If I had to pick one over the other I would go with Confucianism. The simple fact that Daoism tries to defy death by question immoralities show a lack of not using all the facts that’s in front of them. I would think people would find something wrong with the fact that baby that have done nothing wrong in life die. I understand the more you do right and good stuff the longer you will live. And how can you let life slip away by trying to live. I just like the good stuff that Confucianism talks about and make your life better.
