Of the two major Chinese schools of thought, I would have to side with Daoism. Although Confucianism emphasizes the value of virtue and ethics, which I do find to be important, I would ultimately agree that there is no other way to live life than the Way. Emphasizing spontaneity, integrity, and doing simply “without action”, Daoism seems to be an unspeakable force with no intention of formalizing a religious system or structure, thriving as it is.
